Marathon Advisor - A beginners guide to marathon training
Upon completing my masters in technical communications and e-learning at the University of Limerick, I was asked to complete an end of year project to demonstrate some of the skills I had acquired.
Essentially the aim of the project was to create a course that would teach someone to do something. I decided to create a course that would teach someone how to train for a marathon. (right) Click on the button below to view some screen shots of this course |
What I did in this project
- I created and designed this course using a number of software tools and used a number of websites to gather content
- This course was broken down into four modules, each of which which contained three units
- Each unit contained a quiz, created in Adobe Captivate, and there was also a final quiz at the end of the course
- The course was designed within Adobe Dreamweaver
- I used Adobe Flash to create a number of Flash simulations, Audacity to create audio files and a Flipshare camcorder to record my videos
- I kept in contact with my lecturer on a weekly basis over the summer to keep her up to date on my progress
